District and campus offices are closed Monday, December 22-Friday, January 2, 2026. Monday, January 5 is a Professional Development Day. Students return to regular class schedules on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Happy New Year!

Members of the LHS Student Council, LHS Culinary, and FCCLA shared their activities with members of the school board during the December meeting.

The Houston Texans mascot, Toro presented his educational assembly program to the students at Cedar Grove Elementary. They learned the acronym "BULL" stands for B-Be Yourself, U-Use your voice, L-Leave (the situation), and L-Look Out for Others.

Members of the TCE Student Council shared their activities with members of the board, followed by a group performance of songs from their Veterans Day program.

Students from Timber Creek Elementary are directed by Mr. Boulet as they perform for the school board during the November meeting.

LJH students led a ceremony at the LISD Administration Building in honor of Veterans Day.

LJH AVID elective students organized a school-wide beanie collection drive to benefit the F.A.I.T.H. (Families and Individuals Thanking Heroes) Military Support Group. They exceeded their goal with the collection of 257 beanies!

Community partners wrote letters of support to the district during the grant process. LISD is awarded $500,000 grant to improve school safety and communication.
