This is the third year in a row that LJH Varsity Band has received a "Sweepstakes," the first LJH varsity band to receive first Divisions from ALL SIX judges since 2018. The eighth-graders in this ensemble are the first class of Livingston students to have received all first division ratings in both their seventh- and eighth-grade years since 2018-2019.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Pack and members of the board congratulate the three newest LEADERS during the March School Board meeting. LHS student Carmello Ivory, community member Sandy Gilbert, and LISD staff member Anisha Atkinson. This LISD program celebrates individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership and service within the district.

The board enjoyed two musical numbers from the students of Pine Ridge Primary School during the March School Board meeting. Music teacher Mr. Hernandez led the singing Pre-K and Kindergarteners with “Deep in the Heart of Texas” and “You are my sunshine.”

Pine Ridge Primary students and two of our school board members were delighted today with a visit from The Creature Teacher. Students and teachers were able to pet Cleo, the Kangaroo, at the close of the presentation after seeing Batman the Chinchilla, a mongoose, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Tiger Lilly the snake.

Sam Houston State University admissions representatives visit the Livingston High School campus to present each student in the LHS Class of 2026 with a $4,000 scholarship certificate!

Continued progress of construction on the home side of Lion Stadium creates excitement among Lion fans! The expected completion date is August 2026.

Students had a squeal-worthy surprise as Principal Kerscher welcomed adorable piglets to campus! The special visit, thanks to Officer Dodge for bringing the piglets from his farm, brought lots of smiles and laughter as students got an up-close look at these sweet little guests.
