Program Structure
The 2023-2024 program included rotations among our initial partners – Livingston ISD, First National Bank of Livingston, and Highline – where students gained experience in diverse IT settings, from educational technology infrastructure to banking, cybersecurity, and telecommunications support. This structure will guide this year’s expanded program. This year, we are excited to add three new partner sites, enhancing the diversity of experience available to our students. As before, students will rotate through various departments at their assigned organizations, allowing them to gain practical skills in different aspects of IT and computer repair. In the final month of the program, interns chose a site that aligned most closely with their career goals.
Program Partners
Partnering with this program offers our partner teams the opportunity to work closely with motivated young professionals, potentially leading to further internship or employment opportunities. Additionally, by supporting this initiative, our partners play a key role in fostering a stronger local workforce and community ties. The success of this program has shown its potential as a model for other sectors, offering students practical, career-relevant experiences. Our partners’ participation could pave the way for similar programs across other industries, creating a lasting impact on workforce development within our community.
