Creekside Elementary

We loved seeing our student leaders showing their Lion pride and representing Creekside in our community! A big shoutout to our Student Council members and sponsors for making it such a fun and memorable evening!

Our Creekside Lions showed up in their best 50s style—from rolled-up jeans and white tees to poodle skirts, ponytails, and slicked-back hair! We loved seeing everyone get into the spirit and have some fun!

Our 5th grade Lions have been lacing up their skates and hitting the floor in PE! From practicing balance and coordination to building confidence on wheels, our students have been learning new skills while having a blast!

Mrs. Brown’s 4th grade students have been working hard to earn Mrs. Brown Bucks, and on Friday, they finally got to put their hard-earned classroom money to use at the Mrs. Brown Bucks Store!

Mrs. Clough’s 5th graders put their scientist skills to work investigating a BIG question: Does the height an object is dropped from affect the force with which it hits the ground? We love seeing our Lions learning through hands-on exploration, asking questions, and using evidence to make sense of the world around them

Betsy Ross and her Gen-alpha translator gave a brief account of how the 1st Star-spangled Banner came to be with a lesson on how to cut a 5-point star with a single snip of the scissors.

We loved seeing our students and staff decked out in black with Lion pride as our High School Lions took on Houston Austin at home! Thank you to our amazing high school band members and athletes who showed up yesterday morning to open doors and welcome our students to school!

Today, some of Mrs. Casiday's students learned that the vowel pair “ie” can make the long /i/ sound. And of course, they couldn’t learn about “ie” without enjoying a little pie!
