Superintendent Search Process Continues

The Livingston Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees has employed Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to assist with the search for a new superintendent. The board involved LISD staff and community members in developing a profile of the leadership qualities desired of the new superintendent. Joe Dan Lee, representative of Texas Association of School Boards, led meetings with staff and community to gain input on personal and professional characteristics. The superintendent application deadline was Tuesday, March 4. Interviews of applicants are proposed to take place during the third and fourth weeks of March, with an anticipated announcement of the Lone Finalist on April 8. The state requires A twenty-one-day waiting period, followed by an action by the board to hire a superintendent around the beginning of May.
