• Call 911. Administer basic first aid until emergency help arrives.
• Lock down or evacuate immediately the area of concern
• Advise all personnel to make no attempt to disarm the student unless he/she expresses a willingness to relinquish the possession of the gun.
• Contact the parent or guardian of the student involved.
• Establish a line of communication. Inform the Superintendent.
• Turn the situation over to the Police Dept. and offer assistance as needed.
• File necessary charges against persons involved.
