Response to Intervention (RTI)

Response to Intervention (RTI) is a multi-tiered approach that Livingston ISD uses to help students who are having difficulty with academics or behavior.  The goal of RTI if to screen early and deliver supports to students quickly.  The supports are used to help all students, including struggling learners.  It relies on interventions proven through research to meet a student’s needs.  It includes progress monitoring and uses data to make decisions about movement between the tiers.
