On February 21, the Livingston Robotics team competed in the First Tech Challenge Robotics Regional tournament in Pasadena, Texas. Team members Ratul Anjum, Kyle Loftin, Owen Gist, and Madison Evans competed against 32 other teams in the South Texas region.
This region comprises teams from public schools, home schools, private schools, and private organizations. The team played hard against a tough roster of teams and placed 4th in the Region.
Because of the 4th place finish, the team advanced to the UIL State Robotics tournament for the 8th year in a row. The team will be playing again for another State Title, which they finished as the Second-Place team last year.
Along with advancing to the UIL tournament, the team also advanced to the Texas State Cup. The team is one of 72 teams out of 700 in the State of Texas to advance to this higher level of play to play for an additional State Title.
While in Waco from March 19 to March 22, LHS will be playing for two State titles.
