Livingston ISD Board of Trustees names Dr. Jeff Pack as Lone Finalist for Superintendent

The Livingston Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees, at its March 31, 2025 meeting, named Dr. Jeff Pack, from Dickinson ISD, as the lone finalist for superintendent. By law, the Board must now wait 21 days before voting to hire Dr. Pack as the new superintendent for Livingston ISD. Dr. Pack is slated to replace Interim Superintendent Janan Moore.
The Board has followed a lengthy process in determining the finalist. On February 3, the Board hired Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to direct the superintendent search. TASB consultants met with staff and community groups during February to discuss the leadership qualities of the new superintendent. The profile developed from these meetings was used as the standard by the Board and consultants in evaluating the applicants for the position.
The Board selected six applicants for initial interviews, and then three applicants were invited back for a second interview. The Board is scheduled to vote to offer a contract to Dr. Pack after the required 21-day waiting period. Dr. Pack has served Dickinson ISD as a cabinet-level executive for the last six years. He is the Deputy Superintendent for Educational Services and has served in that role since 2021. He was the Assistant Superintendent for Administration, the Executive Director for Data Quality and Accountability, and the director for Assessment, Accountability, and Compliance. He started his career at Dickinson ISD as the Associate Principal and then Junior High Principal. He also served as Alvin ISD High School Assistant Principal and Galena Park High School Chemistry Teacher.
Dr. Pack shares, “As a visionary educational leader with a passion for student success, I serve as Deputy Superintendent, providing comprehensive oversight across multiple areas including: Curriculum and Instruction, Digital Learning, GT/Advanced Academics, Special Education, Bilingual Education, Career and Technical Education, Teacher Development, Leadership Development, Assessment and Accountability, Instructional Materials, Libraries, and Data Quality/Information Systems. With a track record of excellence, I combine strategic planning, data analysis, and curriculum management to drive continuous improvement and innovation. I lead transformative change, drive policy updates, contribute to Board agendas, and ensure compliance with legal requirements while optimizing district assets and accountability. I excel at team building and training, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth that supports student achievement and the district's educational mission. My family and I look forward to joining LISD.”
