Coming Soon!

Livingston ISD has announced that it is launching a parent/guardian app called Stopfinder that will allow parents and guardians to accurately track their children’s school bus in real-time. The easy-to-use app is secured so only authorized users will have access to school bus information.

Stopfinder, created by the district’s routing software company, Transfinder, is free to parents and guardians and allows users to customize when they receive alerts about their children’s bus location. The app is also a two-way communication tool, providing parents with an easy way to communicate quickly with district transportation officials and receive notifications instantly.

Because Stopfinder works seamlessly with the district’s routing system, Routefinder Plus, district transportation leaders can target communications to specific regions that may only be relevant for that area. For example, if a road is closed and a bus will be late, only parents/guardians of students affected by that road closure will be contacted.

Stopfinder will play a critical role in reducing anxiety because parents will be kept up to date in an instant and because parents can ask questions directly to the transportation office.

This tool will help the transportation office become even more efficient and responsive because Stopfinder will answer the most important question parents have: ‘Where is my child’s school bus?’

– StopFinder Bus App Rollout begins end of September –

The StopFinder bus software provider has notified us that the rollout will begin with the Pine Ridge Primary campus at the end of September. The setup will involve a phased-in deployment of services. This will allow segments of parents to join the software after they receive their invitation, which will prevent the system from being overloaded during the setup period.

We look forward to the efficiency that the new software will provide.

Transportation picSafe Travel to School and Home
For many students in Livingston, the school day begins and ends with a trip on the school bus. As your professional school transportation provider, we take our vision seriously and want to make sure your child’s trip is as enjoyable as possible. In order to get your child to school safely, on time, and ready to learn, it’s important that they understand the information contained in the Bus Rider Safety Handbook. As a valued member of our team, we ask that you share this important information with your child prior to the start of school.

Bus routes are established in the district to best accommodate the majority of students. These routes conform to state laws, rules, and regulations. Transfer students must provide their own transportation.
