My name is Leslie McCullough. I was born and raised in Woodville, TX where I also graduated from high school in 1994. I come from a fairly large family, consisting of 4 sisters and 1 brother. I have 2 sons, Blake and Cooper. Cooper attends school at Cedar Grove Elementary School and will be a 4th grader. My dad, Charlie McCullough, was a police officer in Woodville, TX and Cleveland, TX for many years until retirement. My mom, Josephine McCullough, was also an educator who was a Paraprofessional for 30+ years while achieving her teacher certification, and taught in Special Education for 9 years at Woodville ISD. My mom was the biggest inspiration in my life and the reason I entered into the education field. I received my Principal Leadership Certification from Region 5 in January 2019.  I also hold a Master’s of Science in Education, specializing in Math Grades K-5 from Kaplan University, which I acquired in August 2011 and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education) from Stephen F. Austin State University in December 2005. I hold professional educator certifications as a Classroom Teacher (EC-4) and Principal (EC-12).  I served Woodville ISD for 10 years teaching 3rd Grade.  I was also a Grade Level Team Leader, as well as being a part of the Campus Improvement and District Improvement Team.  I joined Jasper ISD (Few Primary) as a teacher in 3rd Grade, and worked there for 4 years.  I was a part of the Campus and District Improvement Team, Ambassador for Capturing Kids Hearts (CKH), Teacher Mentor, Grade Level Team Leader and Campus Parent Liaison. I began my journey in administration as Assistant Principal at San Augustine Elementary School during the 2020-2021 school year, then came to Livingston ISD-Cedar Grove Elementary where I am Assistant Principal going into my 3rd year in Administration. I enjoy a variety of activities, from spending time with my family, cooking, and just talking with friends. I am excited to be a part of the Grove and getting acquainted with the community in Livingston, TX. GO LIONS!
